More Liens for Gilmore
TOMS RIVER – Amid a federal investigation into his unpaid taxes, even more federal tax liens were recorded against the law firm of Ocean County Republican Chairman George Gilmore in late January, public records showed.
In the latest lien, the IRS alleges that Gilmore & Monahan failed to pay $141,188.76 in federal quarterly employer income taxes for the tax period ending March 31st, 2016. The lien was recorded on January 27th, 2017, according to county records.
Previously, records related to the hiring of the law firm by towns around Ocean County were subpoenaed for federal grand jury proceedings set to take place on February 9th in Trenton.
