On the September 9th, 2018 edition of This Week in Ocean County, host Jack Brogan is talking the week’s top stories, including how the Ocean County freeholder race is unfolding in both parties. In the second segment, he interviews Jackson Twp. Mayoral Candidate John Maneri about his campaign to challenge incumbent Michael Reina and his perspective on Jackson issues.
We continued our discussion of the race for Ocean County Freeholder that began with new developments that took place since last week’s show, including the recent selection of Lacey’s Gary Quinn to fill the seat of John Bartlett and how Democrat freeholder candidate Teddy Price tried to increase his appeal to the county’s conservative electorate by endorsing Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin, and how Democrats responded.
In the second half of the show, our interview guest was Jackson mayoral candidate John Maneri. Maneri spoke about his campaign and answered questions about Jackson Township topics, including how to deal with the challenge of development and tensions between Jackson municipal government and Orthodox citizens that have been in the news in the past year.
